Mad T Party at DCA Part 3: A House of Cards

A House of cards.....Despite not liking the cover band and missing Flynn's the atmosphere and theme were actually quite good. The End of Line Club has turned into a House of Cards...

A Giant stage now sits in this area where high energy dancers perform for your entertainment.

Mad T Party: Part 2 The Arcade

This Replacement for Flynn's Arcade is a nice little arcade, but it is no Flynn's. Flynn's was a retro throw-back to the arcades of the 1980's with 1980's music and vintage classic arcade games. The Mad Arcade is a nice little Chuck E Cheese style arcade with nice Alice theme that has some old traditional type games like knock out the teeth.

The Mad T Party: Part 1 The band

We headed over to the Hollywood area of DCA to check out the replacement for Electronica the other day. I'm a huge Tron fan so I was sad to see Electronica go away. The Mad T Party sounded like a decent replacement and I'm sure will be fun for a lot of guests. The theme was pretty cool....But some of the elements were not so great.

The Drink Me bar had a really cool look and I can't wait to go back at night and check out how it looks then

Electronica was all DJ/Dance Party. The Mad T Party mixes in some live music with the dance club vibe.....Unfortunately the cover band all dressed in Alice garb was not so great. I've heard much better cover bands in the park over the years and we were a little disappointed in both the singers while we strolled around and took pictures.

At least they looked interesting.

Coming up in Part 2 we dive into some more of the experience as it prepares to entertain all summer in what will be a really busy and crowded park

Carsland: The Walls are about to come down

The main construction walls are down and these much more decorative walls are now up to keep the eyes of guests peering through them from getting a full look at Carsland.

Many eyes were trying to peer through these garden mess walls as the sounds of people enjoying Carsland as part of a special preview could be heard trickling out from the other side. The sounds of Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, the sounds of Radiator Springs which opens (officially later this week).

Here are some pictures of that wall that keeps us the unprivileged out for a few more days until it opens to the masses.

With Radiator Springs still closed to us--we ventured across the way to peer over the wall as the happy few on the other side frolicked and played. We took in some new sights in the Blue Sky Cellar that have been donated by the citizens of Radiator Springs as a museum to its history.
