Disney/Pixar Animated Short Reviews: #2 Presto 2008 10 out of 10
Presto 2008 10 out of 10
Hilarious!! This little Pixar short is a funny tour de force that stands along such great animated shorts as the Roger Rabbit shorts. The Presto's rabbit decides to be uncooperative in his magic hat act since Presto forgot to feed him and the results are comic gold as the magic hat is used to torture Presto to the laughter of anyone watching. The CG animation is top notch and the plot is a great funny little bit. Presto is a 10 out of 10 great from beginning to end
Presto can be found as a part of Pixar's Shorts Volume 2 now on DVD.

Disney/Pixar Animated Short Reviews: #1 Your Friend the Rat 2007 7 out of 10
Your Friend the Rat 2007 7 out of 10
This Pixar short from 2007 is basically a throw back to the old school educational/entertainment style cartoons Disney used to do. It is basically a propaganda film that Remy has put together to show you the history of rats and how they are misunderstood in a cute and entertaining way. It uses a good mix o the CGI with Remy and some old school Disney style hand drawn animation that makes me think back to the kind of funny little animated films Disney once made to demonstrate things. It was a cute little short.
This is the first in a series that I'm going to do of my thoughts about Disney or Pixar shorts and cartoons. I'll do a couple of this a week cataloging all the shorts I've seen. I just got the Pixar Shorts Volume 2 for Christmas so I'll start with those and then work my way back through some classics.
Jingle Jamboree: Christmas at Disneyland
The Jingle Jangle Jamboree.
Big Thunder Ranch all decked out for the Holidays. With Santa Claus and Bill Hill and the Hillbillies and Country Bears. Disneyland has really been making a great use of the Big Thunder Ranch are. Here are a few quick pictures of some of the decorations in the area that I took one day before the crowds showed up.
Tasty treats and Cookie decorations
Even the Catcus was getting into the Holiday spirit

Christmas comes to Critter Country
Christmas has come to Critter Country and that means --decorations and really short lines for that section of the park.
The Bees are buzzing around the Honey tree.
You have to love the little details in every corner of Disneyland---
Splash Mountain is decked out for the Holidays and has absolutely no line and the reason.....It is cold when the wave of water comes crashing over the side of the log leaving you completely soaked. If you are brave and don't mind being wet ...this is the time of year to avoid the lines.

Visit with Santa Claus on Buena Vista Street
Santa Claus is going old school at Elias & Co. on Buena Vista street in DCA. Store Santa just like the old days when folks would take their kids to the big department store in the city so they could tell Santa that they wanted the Red Ryder carbine-action, two hundred shot Range Model air rifle with a compass in the stock and this thing which tells time.
