Carsland Part 2: Luigi's House of Tires

Looking at this ride....I just don't get it.   It takes up a lot of space and doesn't really look like it is that much fun.  I'll wait to pass final judgement when I go some day go on this ride with the kids, but at first glance.....It doesn't look like something that is going to be around too long.

The mountain range in the background is modeled after car tail fins from different models of cars.

"Hey let's wait in an hour line to throw giant beach balls at each other"

Buena Vista Street: The Little Details--Tributes to a time gone by

The attention to detail makes Disney Special.  In the new shops in Buena Vista Street it is some of the details that make it extra cool and special.  When we went out to check out the new stuff the other day we never even went on the new rides in Carsland... We had a great time just checking out all the new stuff and taking in all the attention to detail that Disney pours into its parks. Inside the 
Elias & Company store on Buena Vista street you can find.  Manequins that show some throw back fashions....

Buena Vista Street: The Red Car Trolley

It's a trip back in time.....To ride the Red Car Trolley that Judge Doom did away with in Roger Rabbit in order to capitalize on the Freeways.   Before there were " Eight lanes of shimmering cement running from here to Pasadena. Smooth, safe, fast. Traffic jams will be a thing of the past "  There was the Red Car Trolley

Inside the Trolley there are some cool advertisements for the shops and restaurants on Buena Vista Street.

Carsland Part 1: Signs that you are entering Radiator Springs

Here is the first of many Carsland Photo blogs.   Welcome to Radiator Springs......

I will over many trips in the rest of 2012 and beyond try and detail every nut and bolt of this new area.  It is exciting to have a whole new Immersive land to enjoy.

Getting Goofy with Water

It is time to get a little Goofy with a day time Water show.

Call this little show a minor attraction.

Goofy being my favorite character I had to stop by and see what he had up his sleeve.

A silly day time water show....is about to happen next to Paradise lagoon.

DCA Pictures of the day: Classic Car

The new Buena Vista street does a great job of capturing a period in time.   Right after you walk into the park a mood and time is set with the music and style of the place.

Signs of DCA: Chocolate Anyone??

Ghirardelli's has opened in DCA........Even the Chocolate Sundae on the sign looks good.
