Tron : An Uprising at downtown Disney

June 3rd through June 7th the Tron mobile theater is showing the Sneak peek episode of the cool new Tron Animated series....The mobile theater was really cool and the show looks great....If you like Tron you will like Tron Uprising.... Lightcycles and Disc battles and the cool look and sound of Tron.

The mobile theater was deceptively big inside...
There was a line of cool cars to check out while we were in line...Although, not related to the screening.
The world of Tron is electrifying

Answer a few questions and you can win a prize......Jacob walked away with a Tron Disc....and we all got promo posters for the great new show.

DCA That is no More Part 6: No more Cheering

I never saw the TV movie....(and really probably never will).    But the Prep Rally had a lot of energy and was really fun.  The cheerleaders have put away their pom-pom's and been replaced by Phineas and Ferb doing the limbo.....Also fun.   Here is a yearbook style photobook look at the Prep Rally that was but is no more.

DCA that is no more Part 5: Cars before they had a land

Before they got their own land Mater and McQueen were just a pre-parade promo for the original movie.  Here are a few photos I dug out of an old photo book of Mater and Lightning driving through the streets of DCA

DCA that is no more Part 3: Picture of the day: Soap Opera Bistro

A picture and a postcard from the Soap Opera Bistro....
When DCA first opened it had a bunch of more expensive restaurant options and not enough visitors to keep them around....The Soap Opera Bistro is now home to  Playhouse Disney.  When the park opened it was a restaurant themed to the sets of Soap Opera's from ABC...The restaurant was actually pretty good the one time I ate there, but with the smaller than expected crowds that hit DCA for the first couple of years it like several other restaurants didn't last.

DCA even had Soap Opera weekends (like Prime Time Preview weekends)  where fans could meet Soap Opera stars.

DCA that is no more Part 2: Picture of the day: Sam Andreas Shakes

Like many of the shops when DCA opened this little Shake Shop had a California theme.       All I can say is this earthquake themed little snack stand was sure shaking up some real good real milkshakes..... Now gone to make way for Carsland....
