And being the Disney fan that I am I was hoping that we would get some news regarding the theme parks. There was a panel on one of the days about some merchandise that is coming to the parks –but no big announcements regarding the theme parks.
The first new movie The Force Awakens is now less than 6 months away and know that with the 4 Billion dollars Disney spent to buy Lucasfilm that we are going to see more Star Wars in the parks (Since it is basically Disney’s answer to Harry Potter). The Blue Sky Cellar has been closed for awhile now….Will we see the Star Wars plans there once they are revealed???
Will D23 in August bring us Star Wars Theme Park news??
D23 is coming up in August and unfortunately for me it falls once again on the same weekend as Tiki Oasis in San Diego –which means I will once again be missing the big Disney convention.
With no news at the Star Wars convention is D23 going to be where they reveal some of their plans?
There are already rumors of Innoventions reopening with a Star Wars/Marvel makeover that may have meet and greets. What we really want to see are some big plans for a Star Wars Land. Disney teased some Star Wars stuff being in the works a couple of years ago at D23….Are they ready to reveal those plans now?
And will D23 be the place to do that?
