Cinderella Sneak Peak at Disneyland Resort

The latest in park sneak peek is for Cinderella which opens next weekend.  This is the first sneak peek that hasn't been in 4-D and it is taking place in the It's Tough to be a Bug theater in DCA.   Like the previous previews this one features an extended scene followed by a trailer for the film.   The extended clip in this case is the transformation scene in which Cinderella's fairy godmother  helps her get ready for the ball.  The scene was funny and magical.  Helena Bonham Carter was perfect as the fairy godmother and the special effects were dazzling.  They even made good use of the in theater effects with the mice running under the seats.   Once again Disney has turned a maybe in the theaters movie into a must see with this sneak peek.  The movie looks beautiful onscreen and I'm sure the inclusion of a Frozen short before the film isn't going to hurt either.  I really hope this tradition of showing sneak peeks continues.  I gives me another reason to visit the parks and get excited for Disney's upcoming films.

I wish I had a cave like the Bug's Life theater at home to screen movies in

Check out a blog on a similar subject as to whether Star Wars and Avengers will also get the sneak peek treatment

My Favorite Things about Epcot Part 1: The Living Seas

My First trip to Epcot was back in around 1989, right around when Disney/MGM Studios first opened. I was still working at Disneyland at the time and the trip was a quick 2 days to meet up with my mom who was there for a conference.   I was in Orlando for 2 short days and visited Epcot and Disney/MGM Studios (skipping the Magic Kingdom since it is so similar to Disneyland)   I fondly remember entering the Living Seas pavilion and thinking how I could just spend half the day in there .  It was bigger than any aquarium I'd ever been to and with the ride to SeaBase alpha it just seemed really cool.   Well I'll be back there starting a family vacation soon and I'm interested to see what has changed since the last time I was there in which was about 10 years ago.    Nemo and his friends have now taken over the ride --so I sure it will look a lot different, but it still tops my list as one of my favorite things about Epcot.
(Postcard from the Living Seas)

I found this great Tribute about 30 minutes on the history of the attraction.

Here is a great You Tube Tribute to the Living Seas

Disney/Pixar Animated Short Reviews: #56 Working Stiff 2015 6 out of 10

Working Stiff 2015  6 out of 10

The latest in the new series of Mickey Mouse cartoons could quite possibly be the oddest one yet.  Mickey and Donald have to wake Goofy up for a job interview and when they are unable to they get the bright idea to drag his sleeping body to the interview and try and talk for him. Goofy has a nightmare in the middle of the interview and some bizarre stuff happens.  It was like watching a Mickey and Donald version of a Weekend at Bernie's - Goofy looks like he is dead and this cartoon was really strange and just average for this series of cartoons.

It can be found on the Disney Channel or Disney Online (in the videos section)

Disneyland Photo of the Day: Daper Day at Disneyland

We were out at the Park this past weekend when the Daper Day event was taking place.  We ventured over to the Grand Californian Hotel and checked out the Expo that included a bunch of booths with Retro Fashions and people watched.  Folks were dressed in everything from the 1920's to the 1950's retro outfits.  It was a really wide mix of outfits and a lot of fun to see.  After checking out the Expo we took the Monorail over to Disneyland and did some more people watching and were lucky enough to see the gathering of Daper Days folks that posed in front of the castle for a group shot.   My wife Kim was able to get this great shot.

Photos of the Pacific Wharf at DCA

The Pacific Wharf at DCA is a great spot to chill and relax while grabbing many choices of things to eat.    When I was out there the other weekend it also made for a great spot to read a book with a view great view.   Being an Annual Passholder -- sometimes allows you to be able to enjoy the little things that on a one day trip you wouldn't consider.

I especially love the view of the Pacific Wharf are now that you can see the mountains of the Carsland area in the background.  Prior to that it was just a dead end with a wall and now it is a gateway to an amazing ride and themed area.

Charlie I can picture the meet and greets already.

Spring Time At Disneyland Resort in California: The Trees are in bloom

Here are a few pictures I got last weekend of how spring has already arrived at the Disneyland Resort.   The trees are in full bloom all over the park and they make a great backdrop for some picture ops.
