3 things we need to see from Luke in Episode 8

1         A Yoda:  Attack of the Clones moment:

You know the moment I’m talking about…..That scene where Dooku is kicking Obi Wan and Anakin’s butt and Yoda shows up with the cane and pulls back his robe and does some bad ass Jedi Lightsaber moves.   Yoda went from that little old weird frog like guy to bad ass in one moment.   Luke needs to have some I’m still cool like Return of the Jedi moment.

2         Luke reuniting with Leia and Chewie for the first time since Han’s death.

It is a shame we never get to see Han and Luke reunite…
So it is an absolute must that we get a scene in Episode 8 with Luke, Leia and Chewie.  The scene where Han and Leia see each other again in Episode 7 was perfect.   We need a scene like that with Leia and Luke.

3         Train her he must:  I think this is pretty obvious –that we    will see Luke training Rey and maybe a scene with Force ghost Yoda talking to Luke about Rey.   “Strong in the force she is….Another Skywalker”

Benefits of Being an Annual Passholder: AP Days and a Roger Rabbit Surprise

One of the great things about having an Annual Passport is the ability to just make an unplanned trip to the park.  I’m always up for a trip to the parks so when my step daughter asked in the morning –We were good to go.

Another great thing about being a Passholder  (besides discounts) is the occasionally bonus things that happen for Passholders.    I knew that there was some AP Days stuff going on –but didn’t know what that entailed.

Each week in February has been something different and special for Passholders.

This weekend that included Free Buttons and scavenger hunts in the Blue Sky Cellar which has been closed for a while now.

We were also encouraged to head on over to Stage 17 for more special Passholder only fun.

Stage 17 which recently housed Olaf’s winter fun area over the holidays was set up for passholders with free popcorn and waters and a meet and greet opportunity with Roger Rabbit.

He was posed in front of a backdrop of a cartoon kitchen

The meet and greet included the screening of several classic Roger Rabbit cartoons as well.

Time to meet that Wacky Rabbit

When posing with Roger you need to do something Silly

It was a cool little bonus for our unplanned trip to the park.

Now I want to know what is happening next weekend when the theme is A World of Tomorrows?

BB-8 Prop arrived at Star Wars Launch Bay

There was definitely something missing when Star Wars Launch Bay opened.
A glaring error that has now been been corrected.

BB-8

BB-8 is now on display next to Rey's Speeder in Star Wars Launch Bay.  I'm glad to see this addition to the exhibit, since BB-8 is a beloved character from the film that has now grossed over 2 Billion dollars worldwide.   Heck the BB-8 sipper cups are selling so fast that the fact that BB-8 wasn't in the exhibit when it opened was a huge oversight.

I hope that additions will regularly be made to Star Wars Launch Bay.  It could become a permanent Star Wars exhibit with different items from the franchise being displayed.  New and old props from the Lucasfilm archives could come and go making this exhibit a destination for all Star Wars fans.

Alice in Disneyland: 5 Ways to Experience Alice in the Parks

The Mad T Party will be closing March 30th
Alice Through the Looking Glass is coming out in May 27th.......
It seems like strange timing since I would assume that the popularity of all things Alice would be at a peek when the new film comes out and that hopefully we will get a sneak peek of the new film when it comes out.

Curiouser and Curiouser....It seems that the closure of the Mad T Party coincides with the exciting news of the return of the Food and Wine Festival  to DCA that runs from April 1st thru  May 1st.
So I would speculate with the new movie opening on May 27th that we may see a big return of all things Alice around mid May.

In the Meantime.....I thought it would be fun to take a quick look at all things Alice around the parks.

1.  Alice the Ride

Climb aboard a Caterpillar for the Alice and Wonderland Ride in Fantasyland.  Go down the Rabbit hole and experience the classic Attraction that recently had some updated effects.

Watch out for the Queen she has a really short temper

2. Have a Tea Party

And by Tea Party I mean take a spin in a Tea Cup.

If you ate too many Churrios before the ride you may even need to stop at the Alice Themed Restrooms.

3. Visit the Mad Hatter:   For all your Headwear Needs

      4. Hang out with Alice and The Mad Hatter

These two can often be found at the end of Main Street where the piano player is located.   Sometimes you can even join in with them in a game of musical chairs

5.  Check out the Band at the Maddest T Party around

Just across the way in DCA the Mad T Party is going on:   At least until March 30th.  With a lot of entertainment including a DJ and live Bands and Alice themed drinks.
